Yee Bon

Yee Bon was born in Taishan, Guangdong Province in 1905. He entered Winnipeg School of art in 1928, and transferred to Ontario College of Art in 1929. He returned to China in 1935, and created Homeward bound at Sunset in Taishan his homeland. In 1938, Yee Bon was invited with Li Tie-fu, Wong Sui-ling by reknowned artist of China Xu Beihong to visit Guilin to do scenery painting, and created Boat Trackers. In 1957, he created Back from the Field, for which he was awarded at the Exhibition of Socialist Art and published in postcard form in Moscow. In 1982, Banks of Peony River was exhibited in Paris. Yee Bon died in Guangdong in 1995.
